Earnings: Microsoft FY25 Q4

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) closed out FY25 with a strong Q4, surpassing expectations on both revenue and earnings. Azure revenue jumped 39% year-over-year, exceeding forecasts and driving overall Cloud revenue up 27%. Commercial bookings remained strong, reflecting steady enterprise demand and a healthy pipeline.

Productivity and Business Processes also delivered solid growth, supported by strong early adoption of Copilot—though measuring its momentum remains difficult without clear baseline metrics. Personal Computing returned to growth as well, aided by steady performance in Search and News Advertising and a rebound in Xbox Content and Services.

Management indicated that AI infrastructure investments will continue, though spending is expected to moderate in FY26. Full-year guidance calls for double-digit growth in revenue and operating income, with Q1 guidance also topping analyst expectations.
