Earnings: Robinhood FY25 Q2

Earnings: Robinhood FY25 Q2

Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD) posted an impressive Q2, beating expectations on revenue and earnings. Key metrics continue to grow at a blistering pace with transaction volume highs, growth in interest-earning assets and securities lending, and funded customers rising to 26.5 million. Robinhood Gold membership climbed 76% year-over-year to nearly 3.5 million, while Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) jumped 34% to $151, showing improved monetization of its expanding base.

The company continues to push into new territory with token-based offerings, which helped drive growth in Europe, and acquisitions remain a key driver—most recently closing on Bitstamp in Q2, with WonderFi Technologies in the pipeline. Several of its banking products are offered through partnerships with regulated banks, as Robinhood has so far avoided pursuing a bank charter. That choice appears strategic, allowing the company to sidestep heavier regulation while leaning into higher-risk, more speculative offerings that share traits with gaming and gambling platforms. This approach keeps growth fast and engagement high—but does not quell questions about long-term stability and oversight.
